I have returned home from my little trip to Venice, CA. It wasn’t very far bc I’m from the suburbs of the IE.

I’m still trying to figure out 1. what I’m doing with my NeoCities site and 2. how to find sites I like on there. I guess I’ve found plenty that I like. Just not any where I’m like “this person is really cool and similar to me.” Is that even something I should be looking for? I guess to put it in social media terms, I’ve found plenty of cool webpages but none I like enough to follow, I guess. IDK.

I’m still trying to figure out NeoCities from the standpoint of understanding the community and what I’m supposed to do better. Last time I tried the personal web out, I didn’t really do any interacting with others or any of the cool stuff like blinkies. I feel weird with the more retro aesthetics sometimes because I’m so young? It feels like an era of time I’m not meant to claim? But this is probably stupid; it’s likely that no one cares.

I felt like writing but I don’t really know what else to write about.

Wait!

I should write about my witchy stuff.

I went to a metaphysical store the day before yesterday while I was in LA. I absolutely hated driving there. Like I said in my last post, I don’t think LA is for me.

But I finally got a pendulum! It’s aventurine!

I really like the pendulum. I’ve tried it out a bit too much since getting it.

I also started a collection of “charms” for charm casting today! Currently it mostly consists of old pins I don’t use and some plastic animals I bought at the thrift store with my friend today. There’s other stuff but I need to find more, because the pins and animals take up too much of the collection. Plus, IDK if I want to have those pins in there for obvious safety reasons.

I currently have them in a plastic cauldron I got from CVS a while back.

I’m planning on looting old board games we don’t use for more charms. I also have a ton of old legos and there’s probably some stuff in that collection I could use.

I also got some magazines at the thrift store, since I’ve been wanting to start collaging.
